Psalm 91

  1. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
  2. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
  3. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
  4. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
  5. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
  6. Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
  7. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
  8. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
  9. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
  10. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
  11. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
  12. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
  13. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
  14. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
  15. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
  16. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

    I am claiming this Psalm over my own life and over the lives of all my family, friends and associates.

People Hate To Be Reminded

Ephesians 5:1–21 continues Paul's invaluable instructions on how Christians should live out their faith. Rather than imitating the world, or being controlled by worldly things, Christians are to be filled with the Spirit. Specific flaws such as sexual immorality, crude speech, and wasting of time are discouraged. Instead, believers ought to submit to one another out of respect for Christ, providing a powerful witness to the world.

Even people who are supposed to be Christians are dancing with the devil these days and making excuses for their behaviors.

God who never changes is not pleased!

Serving Two Masters

2 Corinthians 6:14-15
Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?
Matthew 6:24
Verse Concepts
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other You cannot serve God and wealth.
You cannot support the works of the devil and claim to be a Christian either so be careful where you go, what kind of entertainment you choose for yourselves, what influences you are exposing your children to.
You cannot serve God and worship money --- Be careful that some of the things that you take for granted and enjoy a lot do not become "Idols" in your life. What is an idol? An idol is something that you give more attention to than you give to God and to Jesus and to the things that God requires us all to do.
Take care to choose your associations wisely because there is no spiritual profit in plunging headlong into some of the actions and activities that unbelievers take great delight in.
Tell me, if you can (If you want to) what the consequences of ignoring the two scriptures I have quoted above might be?
Can we really "Pick and Choose" which of the Words of God that we want to take as our own and to obey to the best of our abilities?
Is there any justification before The Lord in taking part in some of the things that the lost people of the world enjoy doing and can you imagine the harm that winking at sin might be doing to your own spiritual Life?
I know that nobody has a totally clean house and that we dare not throw rocks at other people, but by the same token, do we not have an obligation every day to examine our own thoughts and our own ways and the things that we do and try to line them up with what The Lord expects of us?

Life Is Not To Be Taken Casually

We humans get so used to the act of living that I think we sometimes get to a point where it is very tempting to take it for granted.

We get caught up in our daily routines and everything seems to hum along normally and we never stop to think that it all might come crashing down .... at any moment ... without warning .... and totally out of our control.

But isn't it wonderful to know that if we crash, Jesus is right there with us all the time to take us by the hand and lift us up out of the quagmire or to escort us into the Life that is promised to His Faithful?

All I can say right now is "Praise The Name of Jesus."
